Business Coaching

Welcome to business coaching! If you have come to this page, more than likely it's because your business is not performing the way you would like it to. Perhaps you want your business to be more profitable, more dynamic, or more effective? Or maybe your own role within your business is, in someway, falling short of your desires and expectations? Business coaching can help you move to the place you want to be.

As a business coach, I weave together my experience of running small businesses (click here for more info) with my coaching skills to help you create the changes you desire, help you shift on to a new path and help you reach your business goals. Typically, I work with my clients on:

  • Creating a business vision. What is it you REALLY want to do, achieve and be with your business?
  • Profitability. Making a good profit is essential to success. I can help you find and plug your profit holes and get you to increase profits.
  • Strategic planning. Planning how to get your business to where you want to be.
  • Keeping you on track. I'll keep you accountable to what you say you are going to do :-)
  • Work/life balance and having fun. Enjoying what you do is the key to becoming successful.

Are you ready to change? Good! A better business life is waiting for you!

MY STYLE OF COACHING
I am a caring, challenging and cheerful coach. My business coaching style is from the place of a Spiritual Entrepreneur: holistic, fair and honest. I help my clients build better relationships with employees, clients and suppliers: for I believe a sustainable business in the 21st Century is built in this way. I'm both practical and intuitive - both will help you move forward. I want the very best for you and all of my clients. I strive always to be the best coach I can be to help you move forward quickly.

WHO ARE MY COACHING CLIENTS?
business teamThe majority of my business coaching clients are small business owners or partners within a business. They have achieved a level of success, but they haven't reached the place they want to be. They frequently have a lot on their plate and are juggling the demands of work and family life. Smaller business owners sometimes have no-one with whom they can bounce their ideas on – and I fulfil this role too.

My role with each and everyone of my clients is to show them what I see (the wood vs the trees), be their support, friend, motivator, guide and teacher and of course their coach. I ask a lot of my clients – I want for all of my clients to grow, both in themselves and in the work that they do.

HOW DOES MY COACHING WORK?
I coach my clients on the phone – I make the calls. This is a very convenient way to be coached as you don't need to waste time traveling to see me and I can call you even if you are 'on the road' in the UK or abroad. My clients have 2 x 45 minute sessions a month as this keeps the momentum going. We will work on whatever you need. I will 'walk' with you, helping you get clarity, focus and get movement in the areas you choose. My style and the tools I use will naturally adapt to best meet your needs.

TELEPHONE COACHING VS FACE-TO-FACE
Most people assume that telephone coaching is inferior to face-to-face work. Yet my experience is that telephone coaching is often better than in person. By focusing solely on your words, tonality and energy in your voice, I can 'read' far more of what is going on for you. If you are unsure about telephone coaching, I encourage you to take a Trial Session which costs just £35. There is no obligation to book more sessions. I don't 'sell' my services. I genuinely only work with people who really want and choose to work with me.

HOW LONG DO CLIENTS STAY WITH ME?
How long do you need me to 'walk' with you? Some people just a need a push to get over a specific hurdle – so perhaps a few months only. Other clients choose for me to be part of their businesses. I currently have 4 clients with whom I have been working with for between 3-5 years. There is no minimum or maximum time. I'll stay with you for as long as I am needed and can continue to give you great value.

IF I DON'T KNOW YOUR FIELD, HOW CAN I HELP YOU?
You are the expert in your own field. My role is not to tell you how to do the specifics of your job, but I can help you do it differently. My expertise is in human nature and communication. I also will make you feel better by relieving you of your stress, helping you find new ways of dealing with your work, and teaching you different communication techniques. To read even more about coaching and the process, see What is Coaching?

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
Although I am very business oriented, my own payment methods are based on a spiritual tradition that combines value received and ability to pay. The amounts I suggest are between £120–200 a month. To read how this works, please click here.

DO YOU WANT TO MOVE AHEAD QUICKLY?
As well as my one-to-one coaching, I offer Business Review Days these are tailored specifically for you and enable you to have a big, instant push forward. Please see Business Review Days or call me to discuss how I can help you.

WHAT NEXT?
Try out a trial coaching session for just £35. To book, call me on 01305 821799 or 0845 83 86 733 (lo call rate) or email me. You can pay by credit card, bank transfer or cheque. There is no obligation to book more sessions. I don't 'sell' my services. I genuinely only work with people who really want and choose to work with me.

INVESTING IN COACHING

My suggested monthly fees for 2 x 45 minute sessions is
price £120-200
I am a very business oriented person, but my fee structure is based on a spiritual tradition that combines value given and the ability to pay. To read how this works, please click here.

I want for you to get a great return on your investment in your coaching. As an absolute minimum, you should be easily covering my fees cost via increased profit and, ideally, many times thereof. More profit related to changes from your coaching is easily measured. A happier work-place is less tangible, but none-the-less impacts on your bottom line. I want for you to get maximum value.

For those of you who are thinking about selling your business – or preparing it for sale, then please explore my sellingsmallbusinesses site. I am not a sales broker in the normal sense: instead I coach you through the process of selling your own business.

My Coaching 'Gifts'

Communication. I see people tie themselves into knots because they don't know how to say what's really going on for them. I will teach you new ways of communicating. Once you have mastered this, it allows you to say anything to anyone in an honest, graceful and respectful way.

Intuition. I am intuitive: it's a great gift. It allows me to see things you might not see. It guides me in my coaching of you. It's OK if you are skeptical! I just want you to know this is part of who I am.

The gift of making people feel better. In a ruthless business world, this may seems like New Age philosophy. It is different from our traditional beliefs of how businesses become successful, yet I know that making you 'feel better' is the key to your success – and this is the gift I give to all of my clients. Do remember though that I will still push you – I will challenge you to be the best you can be when you 'feel better' – you can be!

Testimonials

I have been working with Jennie for 18 months now. There are many areas where she has helped – from developing important soft skills, to devising and implementing a strategy for expansion, but probably the greatest benefit is to have Jennie act as my sounding board. Jennie is positive, knowledgeable and practical. David Tann, Nortons Recovery, Reading

Jennie has ensured that I stay focused and allows me to stand back from my business to see the bigger picture. Without Jennie on board, I know my business would not have become as successful as it has.
Nick Jervis, Samson Consulting, Bristol

Can I just say (and you can quote me on this) that I find our sessions together extremely beneficial. Acting as a virtual conscience you ensure that the things I commit to, are not buried in the "stuff" of life and stay near the top of my agenda. The result is that I'm getting done the things that I would naturally put off. And that's extremely rewarding.
